Information for Families and Patients
The staff of the Vanderbilt Burn Center would like
to welcome you to our unit. We realize that this may be a very stressful
time for you and your loved ones, and that you may have a lot of questions.
We hope the following information will be helpful in answering some of
those questions for you.
Unit
Information
The
Burn Center is located on 11 South of the main hospital.
We specialize in the care
of the adult and pediatric burn patient. As a partner on the Burn/Trauma/LifeFlight
Team, we also care for trauma patients. The unit has several
beds dedicated to the care of the critically ill burn patient. Other beds
are considered “step down” or “rehab” beds, and are
for the care of the less ill patient. Some of our rehab beds are semi-private.
We make every effort to meet the comfort and privacy needs of each patient.
